<p>GASTRITIS</p><p>Inflammation of gastric mucosa membrane characterized by epigastric pain,nausea and vomiting.</p><p>CAUSES:</p><p>H pylori<br> (most common cause of ulceration)</p><p>NSAIDs, aspirin</p><p>Gastrinoma (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome)</p><p>Severe stress (eg, trauma, burns), Curling ulcers</p><p>Alcohol</p><p>Bile reflux</p><p>Pancreatic enzyme reflux</p><p>Radiation</p><p>Staphylococcus aureus<br> exotoxin</p><p>Bacterial or viral infection .</p><p>SYMPTOM:</p><p>• a burning pain in the chest or abdomen</p><p>• belching (burping)</p><p>• nausea (feeling like you are going to vomit)</p><p>• vomiting</p><p>• a loss of appetite</p><p>• hiccups</p><p>• diarrhoea</p><p>COMPLICATION:</p><p>Malignancy</p><p>Hemorrhage</p><p>Perforation</p><p>Obstruction</p>
