Warts, Corns & Molluscum Contagiosum

<p>Warts:</p><p>Warts, or verrucae are benign growths or tumors caused by a virus and appear on the skin or the mucous membrane.</p><p>The virus responsible is the human papillomavirus (HPV).</p><p>They affect people of all ages but most commonly appear in children and teenagers. They appear on the hands, arms, legs, face, feet and even the genital area.</p><p>Corns:</p><p>Corns (Callosities) are horny indurations or thickening of the skin resulting from longstanding pressure or friction, or both.<br>Corns on the soles can be very painful. Very often the pain can alter a persons gait and may make walking unbearable. Homeopathic medicines do relieve this pain rather quickly and help soften the induration.</p><p>Overtime, the corns will decrease in size and the tendency for recurrence or multiplication can be minimized.</p><p>Molluscum Contagiosum:</p><p>These are benign, viral (DNA virus or poxvirus) skin eruptions appearing in the form of by small globular, waxy, umbilicated epithelial (superficial skin lining) tumors. They contain a semi-fluid, caseous matter which usually turns solid overtime.<br>Molluscum affects all age groups and is commonly seen in children and individuals having a lowered immunity. They tend to spread by contact and a person may have multiple Molluscum due to spread of the caseous matter within the Molluscum. Homeopathy works wonders in curing this ailment.</p>
